In October, our Operations Trustee Jo visited St Mary & All Saints Church of England Primary School in Beaconsfield to speak at their Harvest Assembly. Jo was very touched as the children sang, rapped and recited unique poetry all about One Can Trust!

After the assembly, parent association representative Shannon Wagner introduced herself to Jo and asked how the children and parents from St Mary & All Saints Church of England Primary School could help One Can Trust. Jo suggested that the parents and children assist with a food drive at the local Sainsbury’s to target foods that the foodbank desperately needs to continue to keep clients’ tummies full.

So, clad with One Can high visibility tabards the children, parents and Jo’s dog Indie set up stall in Sainsbury’s foyer.

The day was a great success, the food drive raised a whopping £206 in cash, and the lovely Sainsbury’s customer donated approximately £1200 worth of our most urgently needed food items. The money raised will go towards the improvements that we wish to make at our warehouse in Duke Street and the food that was collected will make a huge difference to the work we do.

Thank you so much Sainsbury’s Beaconsfield and the children and parents from St Mary & All Saints Church of England Primary School Beaconsfield. We are very grateful to have you on board.
