A Marlow supermarket hosted a food drive for a local food bank.
The drive took place at Sainsbury’s on West Street on January 22 and 23 for the One Can Trust.
The charity has seen its stock levels reach a “critical level” after a busy Christmas period. There was an “unprecedented” amount of foodstuffs donated to the great local cause.
Jo Belshaw from The One Can Trust said: “Thank you so much for supporting the One Can Trust with a food drive today and again tomorrow.
“Christmas was an extremely busy time as we supported over 700 people per week. As a consequence, our stock levels have reached a critical level with under 2 weeks’ worth in certain lines.
“The donations from your customers today were overwhelmingly generous and will make a significant contribution to addressing our stock levels. Thank you.”
